Sandberg Investment Fund II

Sandberg Capital is currently investing from the Sandberg Investment Fund II. The fund held its closing in December 2021 at €130 million of committed capital. It received substantial commitments from the European Investment Fund, J&T FINANCE GROUP, Tatra banka, Slovenská sporiteľňa a diversified group of Slovak and Czech investors and the management team.

The fund invests in small and medium-sized companies with strong growth potential, led by experienced and ambitious managers. Sandberg Capital does not enter companies with capital alone but also brings strategy, scaling and expansion know-how, and the ability to transform a small or medium-sized business into a market leader.

In the region, we rank among the largest and most active technology investors, with more than 70 acquisitions across nine technology platforms. While the technology sector forms the backbone of our portfolio, we also selectively invest in other industries.

The typical investment size per project is up to EUR 50 million, targeting companies with a minimum of EUR 2 million in EBITDA.

The Fund benefits from the support of the European Union under the Equity Facility for Growth established under Regulation (EU) No 1287/2013 of the European Parliament and the Council establishing a Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and small and medium enterprises (COSME) (2014-2020). In addition, the Fund also benefits from the backing of the Central Europe Fund of Funds, an initiative created by the European Investment Fund with the support of the EIB and the IIB together with the governments and national agencies of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Slovenia.

Sandberg Investment Fund

Sandberg Investment Fund, the first fund managed by the Sandberg Capital team, was created in 2014. The fund invested in companies in the CEE region. The fund is now out of its active investment period and only considers add-on investments for its portfolio companies.
